Missing Teenage Hikers Found at Local State Park
COLUMBIA - The city's joint communications center confirms that three teenage males were hiking in the woods when they wondered too far in and became lost. The boys were found safe at around 5:20 p.m in Finger Lakes State Park.
At around 4:00 p.m. the teenagers called police and a search and rescue operation began. A joint communications representative told KOMU that 6 units were dispatched to the scene.
The general coordinates of boys were known and officials had them remain in one area and scream so that the rescuers could get to their exact location.
The boys are all between the ages of 13 and 15.
