COLUMBIA - Missouri continues to build on a potent frontcourt as they announced forward Jakeenan Gant will commit to Missouri next year.

"We are really excited to be adding a player of Jakeenan's caliber to our program and we have started making a recruiting name in the Southeastern Conference footprint in a short period of time," said Missouri Basketball Head Coach Frank Haith.

Gant, the 47th ranked player in the nation, joins current Missouri forward Jonathan Williams III as Missouri's most recent top-50 recruits the team has landed. The addition of Gant helps the Missouri basketball team after they missed out on highly touted recruit Devin Booker, who opted to go to Kentucky instead.

The number one recruit from Georgia currently plays for Effington County. He was named The Georiga AAAAA Player of the Year after averaging 17.9 points, 9.3 rebounds and almost four blocks. Gant led Effington County to the state semi-finals. Effington County is currently ranked 2nd in the AAAAA.
