Missouri Budget Gets Voted Out of Committee
JEFFERSON CITY - The Missouri Budget Committee approved its version of the budget for the upcoming fiscal year Wednesday.
The committee altered some of Nixon's proposals like the $66 million cuts to higher education. One of the largest amounts cut came from medical services to the blind. The money cut from this program would go toward the UM system.
The budget will head to the House floor for approval, but after legislative spring break which starts Friday.
