Missouri GOP announces delegate allocation
JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri Republican Party announced Wednesday afternoon how the party is going to allocate national delegates following the Missouri Presidential Preference Primary.
Since neither Donald Trump nor Ted Cruz received more than 50 percent of the votes, the 52 Missouri delegates were allocated to the receiver of the top votes in each Congressional District. A bonus vote was given to the candidate with the top votes statewide.
Donald Trump received 37 delegates; 12 for the statewide win and 5 each for Congressional Districts 1, 2, 3, 6 and 8. Ted Cruz received 15 delegates; 5 for each Congressional District 4, 5 and 7.
These results are uncertain pending certification of the primary results by the Missouri Secretary of State.
