Missouri High School Rodeo Kicks Off

COLUMBIA - The Missouri High School Rodeo kicked off at 7 p.m. Thursday night. From breakaway roping to goat tying, teens said they were excited to compete.

Breakaway roping champ, Shea Connor said she has been competing in these events since before she could walk. "I have won 20 medals, saddle pads, horse boots, basically anything to do with horses," said Connor.

Connor also said she is looking foward to this week's rodeo. "I'm pretty confident. I have a pretty good practices so I'm looking foward to it. I got nothing left to lose," said Connor.

The festival will run from Thursday to Saturday.
