Missouri looking to get Ebola preparation reimbursement
COLE COUNTY - Missouri is looking to get money back for its preparation for Ebola.
The Cole County Commission will sign a contract to receive money back for the state's work to fight Ebola.
Missouri did not see any cases of Ebola, but Cole County Health Department Director Kristi Campbell said it did have people come back from West Africa who needed to be monitored.
She said safety protocol had to take place in order to ensure safety which is what cost the state money.
Campbell said all of Missouri's cases were either "low risk" or "no risk" situations from December 2013 to May 2014.
She said every state can ask for the reimbursement, which for Missouri will total about $1,200.
