COLUMBIA - Coming off a 27-24 heartbreaking loss in double overtime against South Carolina last Saturday, the Missouri Tigers are back on the practice field trying to regroup. The Tigers are looking to bounce back and get into the win column again against Tennessee this week.
The No. 10 Tigers are now 7-1 on the year and look to end this three game home stand on a positive note this week. The Vols are 4-4 on the year and are coming off a 45-10 loss to No. 1 Alabama.
A Mizzou win would secure the 8th eight win season in Gary Pinkel's 13 year tenure as the Tigers head coach. A victory Saturday would also give the Tigers a 2-0 edge in the all time series against the Vols. The first win came in a 51-48 thriller which went into four overtimes in Knoxville last year. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m at Faurot Field and will air on ESPN.
