Missouri ranks 40th for Amount of Bicycling and Walking Done
JEFFERSON CITY- As of Monday January 23rd, the state of Missouri ranks 17th in the nation for the amount of money invested in bicycling and walking facilities. Regardless, Missouri only ranks 40th for the amount of bicycling and walking done. This means a greater amount was spent to aid bicyclers and walkers, compared to the actual amount of walking and bicycling done. Missouri is taking great strides to accomodate bicyclers and pedestrians. MoDOT announced it will fund $13 million for pedestrian and bicycling projects this year.
