Missouri soccer falls to West Virginia 3-2

UNIVERSITY PARK - The Missouri Tigers soccer team took an early 2-0 lead, but conceded three straight goals as it fell to the No. 10 West Virginia Mountaineers 3-2.

Senior Taylor Grant scored both of the Tigers' goals, one in the seventh minute and one in the 47th minute as the team built a two-goal lead.

The Mountaineers responded with goals in the 53rd minute, 62nd minute and finally in the 88th minute to complete the comeback victory.

With the loss, Mizzou falls to 0-1-1 on the season and West Virginia improves to 1-1-0.

The Tigers' next game is on Friday, Aug. 29th as they travel to Fort Worth and take on the TCU Horned Frogs at 7 p.m. CT.
