Missouri Softball Defeats Texas Tech On the Road

LUBBOCK, Texas - The thirteenth ranked Missouri softball team traveled down to Texas for their first Big 12 weekend game of the season to play the nineteenth ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Tigers defeated the Red Raiders 4-1 improving 25-3 on the year and 3-0 in league play after winning 22 straight games.

Pitcher Chelsea Thomas won her 11th consecutive game to improve to 11-2 on the year, striking out seven and giving up zero walks. She allowed one run and only three hits.

Freshman Maddison Ruggeberg led all Tiger hitters going 3-4. Ruggeberg drove home two runs and scored once herself. Princess Krebs and Abby Vock both added two hits.
