Missouri Task Force One on the move
COLUMBIA –Missouri Task Force One is on the move again.
MOTF-1 will head from Katy, Texas, Saturday if it is needed on the west side on Houston. On Friday, August 25, the task force arrived in San Antonio. Since then, the team traveled across Texas, aiding in evacuations and water rescues.
The team includes 37 personnel, 10 ground support personnel and more than 100,000 pounds of equipment.
According to the Boone County Fire Protection District’s website, Task Force Leader Randy Sanders said Saturday morning "that the team is ready to go at a moment’s notice for any mission assignment."
MO-TF1 went over all of their equipment to repair or replace any necessary items.
The team's spirits are high, according to the Boone County Fire Protection District's website.
