Missouri Tigers Volleyball Beats American

WASHINGTON D.C. - The Missouri Tigers women's volleyball team beat American University 3-1 (26-28, 25-18, 25-20, 25-18) on Saturday evening at Bender Arena. The victory was the final match of the American Volleyball Classic, and ends their nonconference play for the season.

Sophomore Lisa Henning recorded 19 kills on .311 hitting along with 12 digs, earning her a spot on the American Classic All-Tournament team.

Senior Brittney Brimmage also received the honor after putting up 12 kills on .417 hitting. Meanwhile, freshmen Whitney Little had a career-best 11 kills on .667 hitting to go along with three blocks.

On the defensive end, the Tigers posted 75 digs with five players finishing in double-figures.

Earlier today, the Tigers edged out Villanova with a final score of 3-2..

The Tigers take on Iowa State on Wednesday in their first Big 12 match of the season.
