Missouri volleyball drops match to Oakland 3-1
COLUMBIA - Despite double-doubles from Carly Kan and Loxley Keala, the Missouri volleyball team lost to the Oakland Grizzlies 3-1(19-25, 25-23, 19-25, 11-25). Kan had 18 kills and 10 digs while Keala dished out 22 assists and had 11 digs in defeat.
Oakland used a 7-2 run midway through the first set to capture the early advantage. Mizzou struck back in the second set with a solid defensive performance. The Tigers were able to pull away at the end of the set to even the match.
Mizzou was tied with the Grizzlies 18-18 in the third set before a 7-1 run gave Oakland the 2-1 advantage. The Grizzlies closed out the Tigers in the final set after grabbing a 6-1 lead and cruising the rest of the way.
