COLUMBIA - Mister Mizzou is stepping away from the broadcast booth. John Kadlec is retiring from the Tiger Radio Network after 16 years as a color analyst on Missouri football broadcasts.

John Kadlec experienced it all with Mizzou football.

He played offensive line for the Tigers from 1948 through 1950. Then, Kadlec assisted head coaches Don Faurot, Dan Devine and Al Onofrio.

Currently working as a special assistant to Athletic Director Mike Alden, he began his Tiger Network career two days before the 1995 season began when Kellen Winslow unexpectedly resigned from the position.

Since then, Mister Mizzou has been a fixture on the tiger football radio air waves.
