COLLEGE STATION, TX - The Mizzou baseball team was swept by Texas A&M after dropping the series finale, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon at Blue Bell Park. The loss drops the Tigers to 15-28 and 7-17 in SEC play. Logan Pearson walked and scored to lead off the game in the first inning, but Mizzou's bats were quiet from that point. Despite his longest outing since March 9, 2012, junior Eric Anderson was tagged with the loss after going 4.2 innings, scattering six hits and allowing two runs to score as he falls to 0-2 on the season. It was his second start since having Tommy John surgery last May.

Dylan Kelly had Mizzou's only RBI with a two-out single in the first to score Pearson. Dane Opel, just one day removed from landing on the top spot on SportsCenter's Top Plays, had two hits in the loss but the Tiger offense was able to muster just six hits on the day. With the win, the Aggies go to 26-22 and 10-13 in SEC play.

Mizzou got on the board in the first thanks to an unearned run scored by Pearson on a two-out single to center field by Kelly. Pearson led off the game with a walk and then advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt and a throwing error, putting runners on the corners with no outs. But Texas A&M starter Rafael Pineda retired Opel and Keaton Steele as he got one out away from getting out of the jam before allowing the RBI single to Kelly.

Anderson then pitched around a two-out walk in the bottom of the first and then got a big 6-3 double play to get out of a jam in the second inning after allowing a one-out walk and single. The Aggies then got to Anderson in the fourth, plating a run on a fielder's choice to Dillon Everett at short. Anderson though made a great play on an attempted squeeze play, gunning the runner at home before getting a flyout to get out of the inning with the score still tied.

Segovia then led off the top of the fifth with a double to right center and he was bunted to third by Kendall Keeton, bringing to the plate Pearson, who was hitting .379 with runners in scoring position this season, but he struck out for the second out of the inning. Everett then dug in with two outs, but flew out to center on a well-hit ball as Mizzou wasted the leadoff double by Segovia.

The Aggies struck again in the bottom of the fifth, scoring two runs. Anderson retired Mikey Reynolds to lead off the inning in front of a Blake Allemand single, but Kelly got Allemand trying to steal second for the second out of the inning. That was a big out as Cole Lankford then doubled off of Anderson as it likely would have scored Allemand had Kelly not thrown him out. That ended Anderson's day in favor of Jake Walsh. He allowed an RBI double to Troy Stein to put the Aggies on top, 2-1, and then Hunter Melton reached on an error by Keeton at second, allowing another run to score as the Aggies took a 3-1 lead into the sixth.

Texas A&M added another run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth to take a 4-1 lead and the Tiger bats were quiet the rest of the way. Mizzou will be back in action next weekend at Alabama.
