Mizzou Baseball Swept at San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- The Mizzou baseball team dropped the final game of a three-game series, 6-0, at the University of San Francisco on Sunday. The Tigers were held to just four hits and 14 in the series and USF jumped all over the Tiger pitchers, scoring five runs in the first three innings on Sunday.
Mizzou starter Jeff Cline took the loss after giving up four earned runs in just 1.1 innings of work while USF starter Christian Cecilio earned the win after going 6.1 innings with just three hits, two walks and three strikeouts. A bright spot for the Tigers was senior Jeff Emens who allowed no hits in 3.0 innings of work while striking out one.
Mizzou will open a 19-game homestand on Friday against Ball State at 6 p.m.
