Mizzou Cross Country Ready for Commodore Classic
COLUMBIA – This Saturday the Mizzou Cross Country Team will head south to Nashville, Tennessee to compete at the Commodore Classic. At 9 a.m. CT, the men will start the day off with the 8000m race. Following that at 10 a.m. CT, the women will take the track for the 5000m race.
Six SEC schools will be going head to head on both sides. The Tiger men will race in a 23-team field while the Tiger women will compete in a 26-team field.
This will be the second race of the season as the team had started off 2016 at the Hawkeye Invitational on Sept. 2. Junior Valeska Halamicek dominated for the women finishing sixth in the 3000m race while redshirt freshman Michael Widmann lead the men finishing 25th in the 6000m race.
