COLUMBIA - The University of Missouri athletic department announced Monday parking passes are sold out for the 2014 football season. 450 Tiger Scholarship Fund (TSF) donors will not get a parking pass this season, according to Associate Athletic Director for Advancement Tim Stedman.

Mizzou said it received a record number of parking requests this season. Despite adding 350 new spots in lots Q, T and W to its inventory, the TSF was not able to meet its demand. That's because the TSF lost approximately 550 spots in lots J, K and O for the new Columns Club Premium Seating.

These passes are for TSF donors only but in order to solve the problem, two lots were converted from public lots to donor lots.

"First, I would like to thank our entire donor base who have clearly stepped up in response to our transition to the SEC and the related success that our programs have experienced over the last two years" Stedman said. "Equally important, we absolutely sympathize with our supporters who we can't accommodate this year. We wish we had more parking to provide, but we are simply out of spots. Naturally, those who were unable to get parking will be receiving a refund of the parking payment," he said.

The parking lot south of Truman's Landing is still available for general public parking for $25 per game. There are also seven on-campus garages available for game day parking.

Mizzou said donations to the TSF reached an all-time high following the Tigers 12-2 season.

"As the demand for parking continues to accelerate we are committed to looking at options to enhance the benefit to our donors moving forward," Stedman said. "We are extremely grateful to our loyal and generous donors for their investment in the well-being of our 520 deserving student-athletes and we look forward to what promises to be another exciting season for Mizzou Football."

The 2014 season kicks off on August 30 when Mizzou hosts South Dakota State.
