COLUMBIA - Mizzou kept it a close game on Tuesday at the Black and Gold Scrimmage. The Gold squad took a 63-61 victory with 35 seconds left in the game due to Earnest Ross' layup.
Ross combined with Jabari Brown to score 39 of the Gold team's 63 points.
Leading Mizzou Black was Jordan Clarkson with 19 points. Freshman Wes Clark lead in assists with eight. Ryan Rosburg finished with 16 points and eight rebounds and Freshman Johnathan Williams, added eight points, 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Keanau Post and Tony Criswell also made their presence known on the Gold. Post finished with eight points and six rebounds and Criswell scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds.
"It was great to see those guys out there and get them playing in front of some fans," Head Coach Frank Haith said. "I thought we did some good things tonight, but also, like any team this time of year, we have areas of improvement. All in all it was a very beneficial night for us."
Mizzou will go on to face Oklahoma City University on Oct 25 at the Hearnes Center.
