COLUMBIA -- One month after the 2013 USA Men's Wheelchair Basketball Team Top 20 was announced, the team is now down to the final 12 members. Mizzou's Carter Arey is one of twelve players to make the final list, announced on Monday. Since being selected in June to the Top 20, Arey has been practicing with Team USA by attending training camps in Omaha, Nebraska and Austin, Texas for the past month. This past weekend's camp in Austin was the last training camp before the final cut.

Arey and the team will now practice in Savannah, Georgia from July 12-16 before reporting to the U.S. Olympic Training Center on June 26 in Colorado Springs. From there, Team USA will head to Bogota, Colombia where they will compete in the America's Zone World Qualifier from August 4-11.

Former Mizzou wheelchair basketball player John Gilbert was also named to the Top 12. The 2013 USA Team is led by Mizzou wheelchair basketball coach Ron Lykins.
