BIRMINGHAM, AL -- Missouri sophomore middle blocker Whitney Little has earned another weekly honor from the Southeastern Conference. Little earned SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday along with Texas A&M's Megan Pendergast. This is the third weekly SEC honor for Little and her second time earning the defensive title.
Little averaged 2.14 blocks per set during Mizzou's 1-1 week. She recorded five blocks against Texas A&M and 10 blocks against Georgia. She set a new Missouri record for having four 10-block matches in a career. She also tallied 11 kills, three aces and had a .320 attack percentage on the offensive end.
Currently, Little ranks first in the SEC for blocks with 2.00 bps. The Tigers also lead the league with 3.45 blocks per set in SEC matches.
