Mizzou Softball earns second straight walk-off victory against Texas A&M
COLUMBIA - No. 19 Mizzou Softball clinched a series win against No. 16 Texas A&M Sunday night with its second straight walk-off victory.
Freshman Danielle Baumgartner held off the Aggies through six innings and recorded a season high six strikeouts. The Aggies fought back in the seventh inning and tied the game at one a piece, but sophomore Paige Lowary took over for Baumgartner and held them.
Senior Emily Crane recorded her 13th double of the year to put the Tigers in scoring position in the bottom of the seventh. After consecutive walks to load the bases, junior Chloe Rathburn hit a slow chopper to the Aggies' shortstop that would score Crane in a close play at the plate.
The series finale between the Tigers and the Aggies is at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 25 at University Field.
