MUPD Captain Brian Weimer confirms the arrest of Green-Beckham, Boozer and Copelin for marijuana possession Wednesday just before midnight.
Captain Weimer told KOMU that a white Lincoln Navigator - belonging to Dorial Green-Beckham - was spotted in lot G of MU, when officers were patrolling the area. Officers spotted five people in the vehicle and saw smoke that smelled of weed. Only three were considered to be in posession.
Officers arrested the three males and took them to the police department. MUPD released Green-Beckham, Boozer and Copelin on summons.
Captain Weimer said a media release will not be sent out. He said that these freshmen should be treated like any other person who has been in a similar situation and not like public figures.
A court date has been set for November 15 at 9 a.m. in the City of Columbia Municiple Court.
