Mizzou Sweeps MVSU
Missouri picked up a run in the third, one in the fourth, and exploded with five in the sixth. That sixth inning was highlighted by Jacob Priday's team-leading tenth home run. Missouri would get three in the seventh and five in the eighth to complete the rout. The Tigers' big statistic belonged to Hunter Mense who went four for five, driving in seven runs.
Four Missouri pitchers combined to allow only one run on a solitary hit. Starter Rick Zagone earned the win for the Tigers, pitching five innings striking out three and walking two. Taylor Parker, Aaron Crow, and Travis Wendte each turned in scoreless outings for Mizzou.
The sweep was the first for Mizzou at Taylor Stadium this season, and improves their record to 25-21. The Tigers are off until Friday, when they travel to Lubbock, Texas to start a three game series with Texas Tech at 6:30 p.m.
