Mizzou Women's Golf Finishes Sixth at Johnie Imes Invitational

COLUMBIA - Mizzou seniors Hannah Lovelock and Marissa Cook shot well on the final afternoon of action at the 2011 Johnie Imes Invitational as Lovelock fired a 3-over-par 75 and Cook shot 76 to help the host Tigers to a sixth-place finish at the fifth annual event hosted at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia.

Lovelock, a native of Surrey, England, was steady on both days, shooting 73-72-75-220 to claim the top finish amongst Tiger competitors. She finished eighth overall in the tournament.

Sophomore Taylor Gohn competed as an individual for Mizzou and was solid all week as well, shooting a three-round total of 222 to tie for 10th.

Texas State (294-291-294-879) took the tournament championship by seven shots. Kansas State finished second with a three-round total of 886. Florida International was third at 893.
