Mo. Gets $250,000 Grant to Design College Classes
JEFFERSON CITY (AP) - Missouri is receiving a $250,000 grant to redesign courses at the state's public four-year universities. The governor's office says Missouri is one of 29 applicants receiving the grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. The universities, the state and the Department of Higher Education are contributing additional money to supplement the funds.
The money is to be used to redesign courses to use technology to improve learning. The four-year schools also plan to share course material with Missouri's community colleges.
