Mo. Man Charged in Fatal Crash
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - A 24-year-old Missouri State University student charged in the traffic death of another student has a new lawyer. Greene County Judge Dan Imhoff on Tuesday granted a request by Ahmed Salman Almahuzi to drop his attorney, Richard Bender.
The Springfield News-Leader reported that Dee Wampler will now represent Almahuzi, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the December 2010 death of Missouri State student William McCreary. McCreary, also 24, was walking along a street when he was hit by a car.
Almahuzi is in Missouri on a student visa from Saudi Arabia.
