Mo. Mother Charged in Crash That Killed Young Son
EASTON(AP) - A northwest Missouri woman is charged with felony child endangerment after her son died in a traffic accident.
Buchanan County prosecutors charged 24-year-old Alicca Williams Friday. Investigators allege her 20-month-old son, Kiber Williams, was not properly restrained when his mother's car collided head-on with a snow plow. The accident occurred about four miles east of St. Joseph on Jan. 6.
The St. Joseph News-Press reports Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers could not find a car seat or booster seat at the crash site, and the boy was believed to be in the front seat with no safety belt.
Online court records do not indicate if she has an attorney.
