MO River Worries
In March, the Army Corps of Engineers will test levels of the Missouri River to see if it can maintain barge traffic. However, the Department of Natural Resources says there is little need for alarm at this point.
"The Missouri river is supplied by a set of reservoirs that are the largest reservoir system in the country, storage in those reservoirs is over 40% full for the water that is released to meet downstream needs," said John Drew, state hydrologist.
