MOBERLY - The city of Moberly celebrated improvements to the Omar Bradley Regional Airport. A new concrete surface on the pad area replaced the old asphalt one, which was 40 years old. The new concrete surface allows the airport to support larger and heavier airplanes.
The project cost about $1 million -- 95% was funded through a federal grant, and 5% was funded by the city.
The city is applying for new federal grants for the airport to renovate the old run way.
