MoDOT Creates Website for Bridge Work Around Mark Twain Lake
HANNIBAL - Several bridges will be under construction this year throughout the Mark Twain Lake area. MoDOT created a special web page to provide more information and links to each of the locations. Detours will be set up since the roads will close around the bridges during construction. The web page can be viewed at http://www.modot.mo.gov/northeast/MarkTwainLake.htm.
"Fortunately, there are several ways to get around at the lake, and the businesses are all accessible for visitors coming for recreation," said Marisa Brown-Ellison, community relations manager with MoDOT's Northeast District.
Most of these bridges are under MoDOT's Safe and Sound Bridge Program. Several are being replaced, while other are having bridge decks replaced or rehabilitated.
