MoDOT Employee Hurt in I-70 Crash
CONCORDIA - A MoDOT employee was hurt Wednesday afternoon after a semi-trailer truck collided with a vehicle protecting a MoDOT crew working on I-70 in Lafayette County.
A MoDOT spokesperson said the employee sustained minor injuries and is being checked out at a local hospital. The employee's name was not available. The spokesperson said the semi hit the MoDOT vehicle from behind but a safety device meant to protect rear collisions helped cushion the blow.
All westbound lanes of I-70 were closed around 1 p.m. Wednesday at milepost 59 near Concordia. One westbound lane reopened around 2 p.m.
