MoDOT Launches No More Trash! Bash to Clean State Highways
JEFFERSON CITY - MoDOT launched its tenth annual "No More Trash! Bash" this week to clean up state highways, as increased litter sometimes appears when the weather gets warmer.
MoDOT reports last April, Adopt-A-Highway crews collected about 2,500 bags of trash in Central Missouri. Over the whole year, crews and volunteers collected nearly 160,000 bags of litter statewide. 17,000 of those bags were collected in Central Missouri.
There will be events at schools and community events, as well as scheduled clean ups. MoDOT invites anyone interested in these activities to visit the event's website or call 888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636).
