COLUMBIA - MoDOT is planning to begin general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area.

Construction will start on Mon., Oct. 28 and run through Fri., Nov. 8. MoDOT said weather conditions might cause postponements in the work schedule.

Many projects will include lane closures, and MoDOT said delays can be expected. Also, other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways near the designated construction sights.

All counties can expect mowing of right of ways and striping of the roadways in various locations. MoDOT urges motorists to travel with care and to be alert to slow-moving equipment along the side of the roads.
