MoDOT to Repair I-70 Between Rangeline and West Blvd
COLUMBIA - Repairs to Interstate 70 over Rangeline Street, Garth Avenue and West Boulevard in Columbia will begin Monday, June 10.
The work, which involves patching the bridge surfaces with concrete, will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily from Monday, June 10 to Thursday, June 13, weather permitting. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane of I-70 from Rangeline to West Boulevard will be open to traffic at all times.
Missouri Department of Transportation crews will flag traffic through the work zone and provide other traffic control tools to ensure safety. Motorists could experience delays while the work takes place and are encouraged to take alternate routes around the project.
MoDOT made temporary repairs in this area last week after heavy rains accelerated the deterioration of trouble spots.
"The concrete work will be a more permanent fix to this section of I-70," said MoDOT Central District Engineer David Silvester. "We are performing the work at night to minimize disruptions, and would like to thank motorists for their patience while we complete these repairs."
