MoDOT urging drivers to report pothole problems
JEFFERSON CITY - As spring approaches to thaw the ice of winter, Missouri highways can begin to reveal that there are more than a few cracks in the pavement.
The Missouri Department of Transportation is asking residents to keep an eye out for potholes on state-maintained highways in Missouri.
"Our goal is to patch potholes as quickly as possible and get us through the transition to warmer weather," said MoDOT state maintenance engineer, Elizabeth Wright.
"MoDOT's crews will repair minor road damage quickly, but we need the public's help to spot those potholes and let us know where they are," Wright said.
Drivers can call MoDOT's Customer Service Center at 1-888-ASK-MODOT (888-275-6636). Problems on major roads and interstates can also be reported on MoDOT's website. To report potholes and other damage on city and county streets, drivers should contact the designated city or county agency.
