MU Athlete involved in accident in good condition
COLUMBIA - MU Junior defensive end, Harold Brantley, was in good condition Monday, after wrecking his car Sunday afternoon.
According to Rex Sharp, the University of Missouri's head football athletic trainer, Brantley remained in ICU but could be moved to a regular room as early as Tuesday.
Sharp said Brantley suffered a fracture in his lower left leg, ligament damage in his left knee and multiple rib fractures.
According to Sharp, the fracture in his lower left leg was surgically repaired last night. The ligament damage will require surgery as well, at a later date.
Sharp said it was too early to put a timetable on Brantley's return to football related activities, but he was expected to make a full recovery.
Another athlete injured in the crash, basketball player Madeleine Stock, was treated for minor injuries and released.
