MU Baseball Finally Wins One
MU racked up 17 hits, including four home runs, after losing twice previously this season to the Redhawks. Jacob Priday homered twice, Ryan Lollis hit his first career home run, and Gary Arndt also homered for the Tigers. Mizzou sent 14 men to the plate and scored nine runs in the eighth inning.
Tiger ace Max Scherzer started and struck out five of the seven batters he faced in two scoreless innings. He will likely pitch this weekend against Baylor. Taylor Parker pitched three innings and got the win.
The Tigers host the Bears in a three-game series starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Taylor Stadium.
