MU Curator Steps Down
COLUMBIA - University of Missouri Board of Curator Judith Haggard has stepped down from her position due to personal reasons.
"It has been an honor to work on behalf of the four campuses of the University of Missouri System," Haggard said in MU's press release. "I am grateful for the privilege to have served the state in this capacity."
Haggard served on the board for more than four years. She was appointed by Governor Matt Blunt in 2007. Haggard served as the chairwoman of the curators in 2010, advocating for coordinating efforts to expand learning opportunities for all students. She also served as chairs to the Executive Committee, Academic, Student and External Affairs Committee, and Governance, Resources and Planning Committee.
Haggard's term would have expired in January 2013 after a six year term. The governor may appoint a replacement to fill the remainder of her term.
