MU football player Harold Brantley out of hospital
COLUMBIA - Mizzou defensive lineman Harold Brantley was out of the hospital Tuesday, according to Chad Moller, with MU Athletics.
Moller said in an email, "Harold is making great progress and is no longer at University Hospital. He's at a different transitional facility now for a few days and is hopeful of being able to go home near the end of this week." Moller also said Brantley will have surgery on his knee in the next few weeks.
Brantley and MU basketball player Maddie Stock were in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 63 near Tom Bass Road June 21. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Brantley, who was driving, slid off the side of the road about 2 p.m., hit a guardrail and overturned. Neither were wearing a seatbelt, according to MSHP.
Brantley was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries and Stock had minor injuries.
