MU Holds First International Showcase
COLUMBIA - The University of Missouri held its first annual International Showcase Monday. Chancellor Brady Deaton gave the opening presentation. The vice provost for international programs hosted the showcase with four objectives in mind. First, to highlight activities of faculty that deserve recognition. Second, to show faculty as role models of international activity. Third, to inspire faculty who have not yet developed an international component to do so. Lastly, the vice provost hoped to show MU's commitment behind international activities.
Faculty experienced in international activities participated by setting up booths and giving presentations to show students, staff and fellow faculty members the variety of ways they can adapt and incorporate these activities into their own discipline or studies.
