MU Professor Explains Hurricane Season
Professor Tony Lupo said the warm ocean water last year was not enough to cause the unusally high number of hurricanes. Winds and water density were also factors. Lupo said last year's hurricane season shouldn't make people worry about the future.
"Last year, while it was unusual, was part of a long term climate variability that in no way should this make us panic about climate change," he explained.
This is just one lecture given by an MU professor. Organizers said they are a good way for the public to see what MU professors are working on. The lectures happen every Saturday morning at 10:30.
