COLUMBIA - The University of Missouri will receive $1,842,977 for being one of the ten winners of the "Make it in America Challenge."
The Obama Administration created the challenge as an initiative to accelerate job creation and encourage business investment in the United States.
The Obama Administration awarded the ten winners of the "Make it in America Challenge" a total of $20.5 million to fund projects that will develop, grow and strengthen local economies. The programs are also designed to entice foreign companies to build facilities and make products in the U.S.
The "Make it in America Challenge" began March 18, 2013.
