Chase Daniel passed to William Franklin for a 57-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Later in the quarter Daniels passed to Tony Temple for a second touchdown.

Illinois State came back with a 21-yard field goal, kicked by Tyler Funk. The Redbirds intercepted a pass by Daniels in the final play of the first quarter. The quarter ended 21-3, Tigers.

In the second quarter Daniel threw his third touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin.

Illinois State's Parrish Fisher rushed left for a 4-yard gain and touchdown. Jeff Wolfert kicked a 26-yard field goal leaving the second quarter 24-10.

Missouri kicked off the third quarter to Illinois State. The Redbirds moved the ball up the field with an 18-yard pass down the middle to Kelvin Chandler. Illinois punted on 4-24 to Missouri with no return. The Tigers moved up the field with a 22-yard rush by Maclin. Marcus Woods then rushed to the left, fumbled.., and recovered the fumble. Wolfert missed a 34-yard field goal.

Temple rushed to the right for a 21-yard gain. Daniel passed down the middle to Martin Rucker for a 32-yard gain. Missouri drove 63 yards in 6 plays. And finally, Temple rushes for a 1-yard touchdown and Wolfert made the PAT leaving the third quarter 31-10.

The fourth quarter began as Maclin returned a punt 64-yards for a touchdown. Missouri kicked off to Illinois only to have the ball punted back. Temple ran the ball 19-yards up the middle. Soon after complimented by a pass to Greg Bracey for a 12-yard gain.

Garry Roberts intercepted a pass from Daniels on 1-Goal. Drone passed 13-yards to the left to Eyad Salem. The Redbirds kept driving the ball with a 12-yard rush by Geno Blow.

Missouri intercepted for a 3-yard gain by William Moore. Illinois took back the ball with an interception made by Tom Nelson for a 32-yard gain. Illinois drove the ball with a 24-yard pass to Kevett Mickle. Drone then passed to Salem for a 13-yard touchdown to end the game. 

Missouri Tigers won 38-17 against the Illinois State Redbirds.
