Murder Trial to Begin in South-Central Missouri
LEBANON (AP) - The murder trial of a man charged with the 2010 killing a couple in south-central Missouri is starting with Attorney General Chris Koster assisting the prosecution.
Jesse Driskill faces several charges including for first-degree in the deaths of 82-year-old Johnnie Wilson and 76-year-old Coleen Wilson. The couple was found in their rural home north of Bennett Spring State Park. Driskill has pleaded not guilty and could face the death penalty if convicted.
The trial is scheduled to start Monday at the Laclede County Courthouse in Lebanon, Mo.
Koster is assisting Laclede County Prosecuting Attorney Jon Morris. Koster, a Democrat, is serving his second term as attorney general and was the prosecutor in Cass County from 1995 to 2005.
