MARSHALL, MO - Missouri Valley College Defensive End Richard Wick, senior from San Diego, California, has been named to the 2011 AFCA NAIA Coaches' All-America Team. This is the second year in a row Wick has received this honor for his performance on the Missouri Valley College football team.

The AFCA has selected an All-America team since 1945. The organization selects teams in all five of its divisions. Selection for the team is unique; members are chosen by coaches, the individuals who know the players the best.

Wick finished the 2011 season aiding the Vikings to a playoff appearance, the team's fourth playoff appearance since 2006. Wick had 39 total tackles, with 17.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. In 2010 Wick was a Heart of America First Team All-Conference athlete, a Victory Sports Network All-American, and an AFCA All-American. In 2011, he again received First Team All-Conference honors and was a team captain for the Vikings.

Two fellow Heart of America Athletic Conference football athletes join Wick on the 2011 AFCA All-America Team; MidAmerica Nazarene University Tight End Juan Redmon and Benedictine College Offensive Lineman Ron Fontenot.
