MVC Women's Wrestling Competes at Asics University Nationals

MARSHALL, MO -- The Missouri Valley College Women's Wrestling Team traveled to Oklahoma, City, Oklahoma to compete in the Asics University Nationals.

At 105.5 lbs Paulina Biega in match one defeated Desiree Ramos of MBU Wrestling by fall, in match two Biega defeated Cheyenne Kemp of Wayland by decision, in match three Emily Webster of OKCU/Gator RTC defeated Biega by decision, match four Biega defeated Esthefania Jimenez of OKCU/Gator RTC by fall, match five Biega received a bye, in match six Erin Golston of NYAC defeated Biega by decision, in match seven Emily Webster of OKCU/Gator RTC won by decision and in match eight Brianna Rahall of OKCU/Gator RTC defeated Biega by decision. Biega finished 6th.

Freshman Dalina Vuong was defeated by Victoria Anthony of Sunkist Kids over Dalina by fall, and in match two was defeated by Brianna Rahall of OKCU/Gator RTC by fall to be eliminated.

At 130 lbs Freshman Dezrae Groomer was defeated by Cheyenne Youngblood of MBU Wrestling by way of technical fall and in match was defeated by Alli Ragan of NYAC/King College by technical fall to be eliminated.

At 147 lbs Junior Frances Efiong was defeated in match one by Stephanie Geltmacher of OKCU/Gator RTC by decision, and in match two was defeated by Brittany David of Lindenwood by fall to be eliminated.

The Lady Vikings will be in action again May 3-5 in the US Open.
