New Bridge Spans Near Stephens College Installed

COLUMBIA- Commuters could see delays near Stephens College Thursday night. Construction crews will install two new bridge spans across College Avenue and Broadway starting at 8 pm.
Lanes will be closed until 4 am to minimize traffic disruption. During construction portions of sidewalks under the bridges will also be closed. Pedestrian detour signs will be posted for pedestrians, cyclists, and those in wheelchairs.
The old bridge spans were removed July 9th. Access to the new spans is scheduled to be available by next week.
