New State Website Combats Internet Predators
COLUMBIA - Parents and children can learn a lot from a new website announced by the state on Wednesday.
Missouri state officials will launch a new website aimed to educate parents and kids on the dangers of the internet.
The site is a part of Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster's site.
The site has different tabs with some information for parents and some aimed at kids.
The site also offers school the chance to have an in-person visit from the office's education director.
"I want to advise them about the fact that often times the people they think they're talking to, are not the people they report to be," said Public Education Director Tom Durkin. "And that can be dangerous."
Durkin is also available to speak at children's school.
