COLUMBIA - The Stephens Lake Park Ampitheater Concert Series kicks off Thursday night for the first time. Columbia Parks and Recreation will host free concerts at this new venue on the first Thursday of each month from May until September.

Mid-Missouri music fans may enjoy the Norm Ruebling Band free of charge from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday. Other upcoming dates include:

July 12 (Note: This is not the first Thursday of the month.)

August 2

September 6

Columbia Parks and Recreation said there will be additional parking for the event at Boone Hospital Center, across the street from the park on Old Highway 63.
